Shanna Fuld is a writer/reporter/ TV news producer. She was born in Queens, New York, and worked at NY1 News in Manhattan until she moved to Israel in September of 2018. After working in general news, reporting on NYC politics and other issues plaguing her beloved city, Shanna worked as a reporter (print & on-camera) covering Middle East news, politics and culture. Outside of traditional reporting, Shanna loves to capture the essence of human passion. She often freelances, writing reviews of art and theater.

Covering news in Israel is always historic. This country is so young (73) that there are always so many firsts. This time the ‘first’ was hosting the Miss Universe pageant. It took place in Israel’s most southern city - Eilat. And it was the competition’s 70th anniversary.

I have always been a big fan of comedian/actor Steve Harvey, so getting to have a quick exchange with him at the end of the night was a dream come true! He was the host of the evening and flew to Eilat from Tel Aviv via private jet 🛩

Thanks to Photog and phriend Zippy Jason who rode down with me on the bus 😜 and got us a beautiful arrangement of champagne and fruits with her Jerusalem connects 😎 In the second photo of us together you might not be able to tell, but we had been awake for 24 hours because the event began at 2 am and the press conference with winner Miss India didn’t end until ~7:30 am 🕢

Shots from one of our most successful Sunset Series events where I hosted former ambassador to the US @michael_oren_il to speak about his baby @israelin2048 .

He got our community of internationals in Tel Aviv together to start thinking about what the future of Israel looks like. And he gave us his vision as well.

Each Monday night I host an impressive speaker for the Sunset Series event at the Capella cocktail bar in Sarona on behalf of @tribetelaviv_ . After the speaker talks for 30 minutes, we run a Q&A where community members can ask their questions. Rabbi Feldman and I have the honor of hosting people who work every day to make a change in the country and in the world. We’ve been doing this for three years now!

Was one of the first to visit and cover the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the TLV Museum of Art. You may recognize this 92-year-old artist by her polka dot art pieces! Her work filled up a number of rooms and she created the pink exhibit special for Tel Aviv.
